Return of the Mack
No I didn't include Return of the Mack in the mix. But it was tempting. We see a return to normalcy this week. If I can pump another one out quick I'll get another podcast out before I leave this weekend. If not next one may be a touch late too. None of these songs are what I would call "new" but I like em all enough to mix em all together for ya.
Download the mix HERE.
EDIT: They apparently added a password requirement to download files at yousendit, so I will try out some other sites. Feedback is appreciated on all aspects of each site. You are the bitches that have to download it from these sites each week so make sure I pick a good one.:

Pinback - Offline P.K.
Download from Bricolage Fantasy
I upgraded my hard drive this week, so here is the greatest song ever written about fixing a computer. It has all the great things Pinback does so well, plus lyrics nerds like me identify with. Bricloage Fantasy is cool as hell also.
Led Zeppelin - Dancing Days
Download from Looking at Them
Thank you Puff Daddy for not remaking/sampling this song and ruining it for me. Go download it from a great "dancing" post from the fabulous Looking at Them.
Echo & The Bunnymen - The Killing Moon
Download from An Aquarium Drunkard
I brought some DVDs on my trip to Vegas for the plane. Watched Donnie Darko again. Really enjoyable still on the 3rd or 4th time through. This song plays for the bike ride at the beginning (although apparently he uses an INXS song on the director's cut). Anyway, its good but all these old songs are making me feel old.
Q Lazzarus - Goodbye Horses (Extended Version)
Download the regular version from Who needs Radio?
Also rewatched Silence of the Lambs recently. Yes, this song is from the scene where Buffalo Bill does "the tuck" (and also its in Clerks II now to parody this scene). For a while I was fascinated by this tune. It still amazes me how good this song is. How did this group/lady not manage to put out more songs? Thousands of goths and I want answers.
Jeff Buckley - Last Goodbye (rad alternate version, Eternal Life single)
Download from I Am Fuel, You Are Friends
Moving our way back up towards the present slightly, this alternate version of the song that introduced most people to Jeff Buckley is from the Eternal Life single. It's quite a pretty song about breaking up. The intro is diffenrent and I don't think the vocals are as good as the album version. If you are going through a difficult break-up right now don't listen to this. I mean it. Hey! You dumb bastard, now you have been reduced to a pile of sobbing mush. No wonder your ex cheated on you. You are pathetic.
Rogue Wave - Salesman At the Day of the Parade
Download from False 45th
Here we have something (relatively) recent. I think saying that "I'm so sorry for all I've done" is a nice way to not have to admit to specifics. Isn't it enough to know that I was bad and I'm sorry? I got a little crazy and let the next song really bleed into it. I'm so sorry.
Slowdive - Golden Hair (Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd cover)
Download from Motel de Moka
I let this song bleed into the songs before and after it for no real reason other than I felt like it. Visit the linked Motel de Moka post above for more Pink Floyd covers. Motel de Moka gives Syd a proper tribute and appears to be a bit upset at others capatilizing on Syd's death for hits. Hopefully I can avoid the wrath by saying that I'm not a big Floyd fan but liked Motel's post (esp. this Slowdive cover) anyway.
Lush - Light from a Dead Star
Download from A Plague of Angels
Finish it up with some Lush. I've been wanting to post more Lush but haven't liked most of the Lush people have been posting. I may have to recitfy that myself.
